Biography
ROBERT DEMONTIGNY born in Verdun, Quebec, Canada in 1939. He quickly makes a name for himself as a crooner. His songs, but also his good looks and physical apperance, strike a chord with women. His cover of a song from Paul Anka will bring him notoriety. Now an idol of Quebec’s youth, he launches many hit singles such as “Eso Beso”, “Danke Schoen” or “Un baiser de toi” (1964). His biggest hit, “Kiss me Quick”, was adapted from a song that had gone fairly unnoticed when it originally came out in the USA.
