Biography

Renée Martel (26 june 1947) is a quebecois singer considered to be the queen of country in Quebec. Born in Drummondville, Renée Martel is the daughter of Marcel Martel, who is known in Quebec, as one of the greatest country artists after the war. Her mother, Noëlla Therrien, was also a singer who accompanied Marcel during his performances. Renée starts singing at an early age and in 1954, she starts performing Un coin de ciel with her father.
