Biography
Pierre Daignault is an actor, folksinger, writer (Montreal 25 March 1925-2003). He made his stage debut in 1939 and as a performer and caller of square dances, and was a regular member of the CBC radio folk-music program 'Soirée de chez-nous' in 1947. He was also the star of CKVL radio's 'Swing la baquaise' with Adrien Avon and his Gais Lurons. On CD, Pierre Daignault has restored much of the repertoire of his father, the person who most influenced his life. These compilations offer all the fervor of Pierre Daignault with songs such as Chevaliers de la table ronde, La destinée la rose au bois and Pour boire, il faut vendre.
