Biography

After working a big part of his life in constructions and for the textile industry in the Drummondville (QC) area, Oscar Thiffault becomes known in 1954 with his song "Le Rapide-Blanc", song ispired by the Quebecois folklore and originally written in 1935. Oscar Thifault's songs are in part traditional, like "C'est l'aviron", "Y mouillera pu pantoute, pantoute" or "À la claire fontaine", but he also releases many songs that address actual subjects, mixed with humor, like: "La télévision", "V'là l'Sputnik".
