Biography

Nicole Martin (29 september 1949, Donnacona, Quebec, Canada) is a singer, song-writer, TV host and producer. Nicole Martin is without a doubt one of the most appreciated artists of the Quebecois music. She records two albums «Laissez-moi chanter», (1980) and «Une affaire de cœur», (1982) and she collaborates with Stéphane Venne who writes for her one of the most beautiful quebecois songs « Il était une fois des gens heureux » (1981). The song is included in the soundtrack for the movie « Les Plouffe » by Gilles Carle. The song also receives "The Génie" for best song in a movie in 1981.
