Biography

Michèle Richard b. 17 april 1946 in Sherbrooke, is a quebecois popular singer and actress. She was regarded as an icon of the modern French Canadian culture. She inctroduced the minijupes (short-skirts), short hair and the hollywood fashion. From the yéyé music to the TV shows she was a real tredsetter in Québec. With her biggest succes Les boîtes à gogo, a cover of the song At The Scene by The Dave Clark Five, she was named the best artist at the "Festival du disque" in 1966.
