Biography

Les Jérolas was a group of humorists from Québec formed by Jean Lapointe and Jérôme Lemay. The group was born in 1955 and in a very short time became a very popular stage presence. . in 1956, they have their first TV appearance, with Félix Leclerc, at a show hosted by Michelle Tisseyre. Their success was huge in Quebec but also abroad. They participated at the Ed Sullivan Show (1963) and at the Olympia in Paris in 1966 and again in 1971. The duo splits up in 1974. Among their songs we mention Yakety Yak, Signe ton chèque and Méo Penché.
