Biography

La famille Soucy was a quebecois band formed by family members who played traditional music. During 1949 the musicians of the same family (Soucy) started a band formed by Eugène, Fernande, Fernando, Thérèse and the father Isidore Soucy who was already a known singer. The 50's mark the release of several recording like Prendre un verre de bière mon minou and Prendre un p'tit coup c'est agréable, two imporatnt songs in the quebecois repertory. Most of the songs are written by Fernando (Isidore's son). Also, their repertory include many adaptations of traditional music. (C’est en r’venant de Rigaud)
