Biography

Andrea Bocelli, (born 22 September 1958, in Lajatico, Tuscany, Italy) is an Italian pop tenor and crossover artist. Since his debut album "Il mare calmo della sera", released in 1994, he has recorded over a dozen pop and Classical albums, as well as eight complete operas, selling over 70 million copies worldwide. "Time to Say Goodbye" ("Con te partiro") recorded with Sarah Brightman is his best single, with sales nearing three million copies. "Vivo per lei" was released as duet also with other female artists, including French singer Hélène Ségara. On March 2, 2010, he was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
